Donor advised funds are charitable accounts you can use to make grant recommendations to support a specific cause or organization that is close to your heart. Donor advised funds are among the easiest and most tax-advantaged ways for you to give to nonprofit organizations.
Give: Contributions are tax-deductible in the year you transfer money into the donor advised funds.
Invest: Funds will be invested and may grow over time. You can contribute additional funds at any time.
Grant: Recommend a grant from the fund to a qualified nonprofit organization at any time.

Starting a Girl Scouts River Valleys donor-advised fund is a smart way to give. A well-planned and thoughtful approach to charitable giving benefits donors and more importantly, the nonprofit organizations that they care about most. A donor-advised fund is a way for you to create a savings account to build up over time and distribute to the causes you care about most.
Your donor-advised fund will be divided into two accounts.

Use your Designated Account to recommend grants to Girl Scouts River Valleys.

Use your Discretionary Account to recommend grants to any nonprofit organization of your choice. This can also include Girl Scouts River Valleys.
